UPDATE FROM THE RECTOR SEARCH COMMITTEE
The Search Committee has been busy, meeting weekly since it was commissioned on June 1. We have formed subcommittees that will work in parallel, collaborating closely with each other and the full committee. The subcommittees are focusing on key components of the search process: parish communications, the parish profile, parish listening sessions, candidate recruitment, and interviewing and visitation.
A critical part of our work is developing the Parish Profile, a document which will tell the story of our parish—where we have been, where we are, and where we are going. Creating the profile is a spiritual exercise both for the Search Committee and the parish, offering a chance to reflect deeply on our shared life. The profile will present a comprehensive, honest and inviting portrait of our parish to serve both as a recruitment tool and as a discernment guide for prospective rector candidates.
To shape the profile faithfully, we warmly invite you to participate in a listening session after the 10 a.m. service on July 13, 20, 27 to share your insights and your hopes for All Saints’. Further details will be shared soon.
We are energized about this important work and grateful for the opportunity to serve. Please keep us in your prayers—that we may listen well to you, to each other, and to the Holy Spirit.

MEET THE RECTOR SEARCH COMMITTEE
We are excited to announce an important milestone in our parish’s journey: the formation of the Rector Search Committee. This dedicated team of seven members, led by John Gude as chair, has been carefully selected by the vestry to guide us through this crucial process of seeking our next Rector.
The committee will begin their work with a training session led by our rector search consultant, the Very Rev. Ron Clingenpeel, scheduled for May 30th and 31st. This training will equip them with the necessary tools and insights to effectively carry out their responsibilities.
“Speaking for our committee, our consultant the Very Rev Ron Clingenpeel and myself, we feel so honored to have the opportunity to serve All Saints’ in this historic search for new leadership as we celebrate 100 years as a beacon of faith from Beverly Hills,” shared Rector Search Committee Chair, John Gude.
We invite you to join us in commissioning the Rector Search Committee during the 10:00 AM service this Sunday, June 1. This ceremonial commissioning marks the official start of their mission to discern and recommend our future spiritual leader.
Throughout this journey, the committee will provide regular updates to keep the parish informed and engaged. Your prayers and support are invaluable as we embark on this significant process together.

RECTOR SEARCH UPDATE
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
As we begin 2025, the vestry is excited to share updates regarding the progress of our rector search. We will regularly provide these important updates throughout the search process and welcome any questions you may have.
The vestry has engaged The Reverend Canon Ron Clingenpeel as our rector search consultant. Based on our due diligence, Canon Ron is considered to be the preeminent search consultant in the Episcopal Church. He is an experienced parish priest and has guided over 100 rector searches and 30 bishop searches in his decades of ministry. He is lauded for his deeply spiritual yet practical approach to the search process. Canon Ron is also an accomplished musician and has even played at such venues as the Troubadour here in Los Angeles. The vestry interviewed him in person in December and asked that he join us in our work as soon as possible.
On January 27th, Canon Ron shared dinner with us at the rectory, and on January 28th, he attended our regularly scheduled vestry meeting, where he provided a general overview of his search methodology. Canon Ron is sensitive to the history of our parish and will help us craft a process that meets us where we are. To that end, he met individually, in person, with all clergy, staff, and vestry members and will provide his initial insights and proposals to the vestry. We anticipate that there will be opportunities for the parish to meet and engage with Canon Ron as well over the next few months.
Last but not least, we know that many are interested in the timeline for the search, and we have shared this with Canon Ron. Please be assured that we will provide all details about the steps in the search process as well as an anticipated timeline as soon as they are available. This is an area that is actively under construction. Please pray that the Holy Spirit guides us, that we keep our eyes on Jesus, and that we serve Him in this work and in all that we do.
Yours in Christ,
The Reverend Canon Andrea McMillin, Priest in Charge

PARISH TRANSITION UPDATE
We are pleased to announce that we have contracted The Very Rev. Ron Clingenpeel to be our consultant as we prepare for and conduct our rector search process. Ron is widely respected across the whole church for his ability to help churches align their mission and vision, post a profile that is consistent with that, and assist the search committee and vestry in their prayerful discernment process.
In addition to consulting with churches of all sizes, he also consults for bishop searches and as such is experienced in complex organizational dynamics. Ron will help the vestry in the continued work of greater health, alignment, and discipleship. Ron will begin by meeting with the vestry at their Jan 28th meeting and will be with the whole congregation in due course as he helps All Saints' align parish vision, congregation, and vestry.
